It is perfect. I needed a nuetral pattern to go with my olive green walls and solid, deep red curtains. I decided to throw it over a plain white downs comforter for the winter since it was a thin quilt but I was surprised how much heat it holds compared to the comforter alone. This summer, I'll just remove the comforter underneath the quilt completely. I'm so very happy with this purchse and so tired of comforter sets. Oh, I also bought a king for a queen size bed and it's huge. I probably could have just stuck with the queen. But it still drapes well over the dust ruffle without hiding it completely.

And I was looking for 100% cotton blanket and was deceived but the description on AMAZON, even though the quilt label clearly stated that the inside filling was made of 100% polyester. Poor job of AMAZON!!!
