When I transitioned her from a crib to a big girl bed, I really wanted to find bedding that was representative of her interests. This is a quality quilt that looks great in my daughter's pink room. I purchased the Pem American Ballet Class quilt because it features several dancing ballerinas, the quilt is reversible to a pink/white gingham check and has plenty of pink on both sides (which my daughter loves).
I was really happy to find that this quilt featured African-American ballerinas because many other princess or ballerina-themed home decor items leave out people of color. I want my daughter to see representations of women who look like her so she can continue to "dream her ballerina dreams". I had previously tried to find multicultural ballerina-themed home decor but couldn't find any. I'm so glad I was able to find this quilt set here -- and at a reasonable price to boot. Thank...
